Review Policy
Read the Book Review Policy of Rambling Ramesh.
Important Update: Starting from March 20, 2021, Rambling Ramesh will no longer accept review requests. All accepted review requests as at March 20, 2021 will be honoured. Barring these, any reviews published on the site from this date onwards will be on the reviewer’s own initiative, unless stated otherwise.
Author: The author of the book under review, or anyone representing or affiliated with the author.
Review: Review of a book published by the reviewer on this site and/or others on the reviewer’s own initiative or in pursuance of a review request from the author or otherwise.
Reviewer: Rambling Ramesh unless otherwise specified.
Review Copy: A free copy of the book received from the author for the express purpose of reviewing it.
Reviews are free of charge. The reviewer does not receive any monetary or non-monetary compensation from the author in exchange for a review.
Review copies are not considered as compensation.
The reviewer will disclose the receipt of review request and/or review copy.
The reviewer will disclose their personal or professional relationship or association, if any, with the author.
The reviewer does not follow a rating system. Instead, the review will be accompanied by a ‘buy’ or ‘pass’ recommendation.
The review will be candid and critical.
Authors can share published reviews on their website and/or social media platforms with due credit. Link back to the reviewer’s site will be appreciated.
The reviewer has the right to publish reviews on this site and/or any other websites or social media platforms as they may deem fit.
The review will not be shared with the author in advance of its publication.
Any requests to modify or delete published reviews will not be entertained. The reviewer, however, retains the right to modify or delete published reviews at all times.
Rambling Ramesh no longer accepts review requests.
Once the review has been published or the review request has been cancelled, the e-book, if received from the author, will be deleted. No review copy shall be maintained at the reviewer’s end.
Reviewer, however, has the right to preserve such excerpts from the book as may have been used for the purpose of the review.
