Review: EARTH: Age of NeOlwd

EARTH: Age of NeOlwd, a dystopic novel set in the planet’s far future, is an interesting read.

Buy or Pass Recommendation: This is a tough one, but I’ll give it a tentative yes. Overpriced in international markets, so recommend reading it on KU or buying it on sale.

The Good

The story is the lynchpin of the book; it kept me interested till the end. The premise was original (I’ve never come across it before.) with just the right mix of scientific facts and fiction, and dystopic elements. It would be interesting to see how the author takes the story forward in the next book.

The Bad

The writing, which is too bad because the novel has the potential to be amazing. As it is, the phraseology and grammar need extensive overhaul.

The Nit-picks

None.

Like I mentioned before, this was a difficult one for me. I enjoyed the story — quite a bit, actually — but only after I made the conscious decision to look past the flaws in writing. If you think you can do that, then go ahead and buy the book. It’s worth a read for the originality of the premise.
